Bonus Miles for Dining Are Back on the Menu

These have been lean times for those who became accustomed to bulking up their loyalty accounts with generous bonuses through the airline and hotels' miles-for-dining programs, operated by Rewards Network (previously iDine).

This new promotion may not be as lucrative as those offered in years past, but it's still worth a look.

Offers Details

The same basic promotion, dubbed the Get Ahead Bonus, is on offer across a range of programs. The offer:

After spending at least $75 at program restaurants by March 31 and reviewing each restaurant within 30 days of the qualifying dine, members will earn two bonus airline miles or three hotel points for every subsequent $1 spent through April 30. Registration is required.

Deal or No Deal

The bonus is modest, and the terms are overly complicated and cumbersome.

Still, if you eat out regularly and live in an area where there are restaurants that participate in Rewards Network, earning miles for meals is a no-brainer. And earning more miles is always better than the alternative.

Sorry I was wrong it was a 1500 offer from CO for enrolling in Gilt

It is a mistake to link to all the airlines at once. If a new promo comes out for 1500 miles first within 1st 45 days after registration it may be difficult for some to do all within the 45 days. I just got an invite from Continental to do a registration and a dine w/i 45 days fot 1500 miles bonus.
