Earn More Delta Miles for Holiday Shopping

Through December 31, Delta SkyMiles members can earn up to 1,000 miles for shopping, as follows:

• Earn 500 miles for downloading the SkyMiles Shopping Assistant and keeping it installed for at least 30 days.


• Earn another 500 miles for spending at least $250 or more with the Shopping Assistant.

At this point, the Shopping Assistant is only available for Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows Vista. A Mac version is promised for December, "just in time to get the most out of holiday shopping."

Be patient -- it could take as long as three months after the promotion's close for the miles to post to your account.

Deal or No Deal

These are modest bonuses, certainly worth pursuing if you're a Delta mile-collector, but not nearly lucrative enough to shift your shopping from a favored airline program's mileage mall to Delta's.
