Earn Up to 80,000 Priority Club Bonus Points for Fall Stays
InterContinental's Priority Club promotion is one of eight (so far) bonuses on offer for hotel stays this fall.
Value-wise, is it a worthy competitor, or an also-ran?
Offer Details
Between September 15 and December 31, Priority Club Rewards members can earn up to quadruple bonus points or miles for stays at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) hotels (InterContinental, Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites) as follows:
- Earn 500 bonus points or 100 miles for every eligible night
- Earn double bonus points/miles for staying at two IHG brands
- Earn triple bonus points/miles for staying at three IHG brands
- Earn quadruple bonus points/miles for staying at four or more IHG brands
The 500 bonus points or 100 bonus miles will post immediately after the qualifying nights. The double, triple, or quadruple bonuses will post later, after the promotion ends.
A maximum of 80,000 bonus points or 16,000 bonus miles may be earned with the promotion after 40 nights.
Registration is required.
Deal or No Deal
At most Priority Club hotels, members earn 10 base points per $1 spent. So a $150 night will generate 1,500 points. And a 500-point bonus brings that to 2,000 points, only a modest 33 percent increase.
In a best-case scenario, if a member logs four $150 nights at four different IHG brands during the promotion period, the quadruple bonus boosts the normally earned 6,000 points to a total of 13,000 points, a 117 percent increase.
Bottom line: This promotion only yields meaningful returns if you make multiple stays at multiple brands. Otherwise, there are better bonuses available for fall hotel stays.

PC - I agree with you. Your math matches 80,000 bonus point after staying 40 nights at four or more IHG brands (40 x 2000 bonus points).

PC - According to my math, 4 stays at different brands nets 7,000 bonus points: (500 points/night x 4 nights) + (500 pts for stay #1) + (1,000 pts for stay #2) + (1,500 pts for stay #3) + (2,000 pts for stay #4). It's a pretty convoluted way to compute bonuses. Not to mention confusing.
Ann Crisler - That's the standard bonus. Call PC and have them activate it for you... you should be eligible.

You sure you did the math right? $150 per night x 4 = 1500 points x 4 = 6000 base points.
Then add in 500 x 4 = 2000 points multiplied by your four hotel bonus, so quad points. 2000 x 4 = 8000 points.
Total points = 14,000.

I am currently a Club member in the IHG/Priority Club. The bonus offer mentioned above for up to 80,000 extra points for fall stays is not shown as an option for me to sign up for. What is the criteria, since I have a planned 3 night stay with them in mid Oct.?
